• Inishowen Maritime Museum & Planetarium: Stop at the Inishowen Maritime Museum, located in a historic coastguard station overlooking one of Ireland's busiest fishing harbors. This museum provides insight into the region’s rich maritime heritage and offers spectacular views over Lough Foyle.
• Malin Head: Visit Malin Head, the northernmost point on the island of Ireland and the official start of the Wild Atlantic Way. Here, you can soak in the dramatic landscapes and pristine beaches that make this location truly magical.
• Lunch in Buncrana: Next, we’ll head to the charming holiday town of Buncrana for a delightful lunch, where you can relax and enjoy the local cuisine.
• Grianán of Aileach: After lunch, we’ll make our way to the historic Stone Fort of Grianán of Aileach. Perched on a hilltop 250 meters above sea level, this ancient site is steeped in history, dating back to around 1700 BC. The fort offers panoramic views of the glistening waters of Lough Foyle and Lough Swilly, as well as a breathtaking vista of the entire Inishowen Peninsula.
• Return to Derry: As we head back to Derry, we’ll take a whistle-stop tour through the city, where you’ll have the chance to explore the famous city walls and visit key filming locations from the beloved TV series 'Derry Girls'.
